    The Star of Canada Maritime Museum
    Situated in the oldest house still standing in Gisborne (Wylie Cottage built in 1872), the maritime museum contains the wheelhouse saved from the Star of Canada ship that sank off of Gisborne at Kaiti Beach in 1912. It forms part of the Gisborne Museum.
